This is originally from qwantz.com, and you can get it on a poster or t-shirt:

I hope all the Paleo/CrossFit disciples take something useful from the poster.

"I hope all the Paleo/CrossFit disciples take something useful from the poster."

I know this is intended to be snarky, but I don't get it.

Oh, I think we're supposed to stop hating the glories of modern civilization: the shirt highlights all that was lacking in the past.

Of course, that would be ridiculous strawman. Just because I regard soybean oil, white bread, and candy bars as unfit for human consumption doesn't imply that I'm not a profound worshiper of human achievement, industry, science, and technology. I am. However, with food as with everything else, I exercise my powers of rational discrimination to further my life and happiness. Hence, I don't regard every product of industrial society as good.

Diana: Clearly you should just forget about your rational capacity and accept whatever the government subsidizes.

Now, I understand soybean oil makes a great industrial lubricant. Or is that canola?

polaris is *not* "just about the brightest [star] in the sky". it barely makes the top 50. (he should also be noting that if you're more than a couple thousand years away, it's not the north star anymore, but that's another story.)
