Blizzard Trauma

As a result of the blizzard, I've been stuck at work for the last 36+ hours. The ER's haven't been too busy yet, mostly because people aren't yet out and about. We haven't seen too many high-speed MVA's (motor vehicle accidents), probably because cars simply can't go that quickly. There are a lot of folks coming in with broken wrists, broken hips, etc., from slip-and-fall accidents.And starting this morning, we've seen several patients with this type of x-ray. Safety tip of the day: Don't stick your hand into a snowblower!
