Giving to Altruism

Tom Rowland has two philosophically interesting tales on his blog that I wanted to note. Most recently, he posted a story about inadvertently granting the premise of altruism in attempting to beg off from a salesman, with an excellent alternative suggestion. A bit earlier, he posted a a delightful story concerning a parent's support for the brutal honesty of his child.Both are well worth reading!  E-mail Diana Hsieh
